It's time to end the strike!!
Both sides need to come to terms. This is hurting everyone. The ego's need to stop. The studio's need to be fair, and the writers need to be willing. This is not the time for a film industry dowsturn. The state economy can't handle it, and America does not need it.
And personally I am sick of it.
I sympathize with the writers. I know they got screwed last time and they could get screwed again if they don't play there cards right. But they need to be willing to compromise. Like it or not, the studios have control this game. They can hold out forever if they want. The writers are already cracking, and the city of LA and all it's small fries are hurting. It's time to force a deal. Time to get creative in writing a contract.
Because of the state of the media today --all up in the air-- no matter who the deck is cut the studio's have an ace up their sleave. They more than anyone, control how the future of the film business will look. If they are going to short you out of money there is no way to stop them.
It just seems to me that the strike has hurt the good writers out there more than it has helped them so far...
Time to come to terms.
